I think I accidentally let the whitesmoke virus onto my computer. My Avira scanner found it, moved it to quarentine, and I deleted it, but it’s still scanning, and appears to have detected it. I’ve got more antivirus software than I know what to do with, Sophos, PC-Doctor 5, McAfee, and Spyware Doctor. Which one should I use and how to best make sure this thing is off my computer?
And the whitesmoke is a trojan, for those of you who are unfamiliar.

In many cases, this is related to aleureon trojan, aka TDSS. Try tdss remover from kaspersky: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280684
Then scan with malwarebytes and superantispyware
